Who we are

SkillNest is a learning platform where students take courses and creators publish lessons, live sessions, and digital products. This policy explains what we collect when you create an account, sign in with Facebook, Google, or Apple, and use the product.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use SkillNest, we store:

• Account details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, and password.
• Profile details, including a photo, bio, school, and social links a creator chooses to publish.
• Learning and commerce records, such as courses, progress, purchases, wallet activity, reviews, and support messages.
• Technical data such as sign-in time, device, and IP address, used to keep accounts secure.

Facebook Login

If you choose Continue with Facebook, Meta shares your Facebook user id, name, email address, and profile picture with SkillNest. We use that information to create or sign you into your account and to show your name and photo in the product. We do not post to Facebook on your behalf, and we do not sell this information.

Google and Apple sign-in work the same way: we receive the identifier, name, email, and picture those providers send, and we use them only to run your SkillNest account.

How we use information

We use account data to:

• Create and authenticate your account.
• Deliver courses, live sessions, certificates, and purchases.
• Process wallet payments and creator payouts.
• Send verification codes, password resets, and service messages.
• Detect abuse and keep the platform secure.

Sharing

Creators see the name and learning activity of students enrolled in their courses. Students see the public profile a creator chooses to publish. Payment partners receive the details needed to collect or send money. We also share information when the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open. When you delete your account, or when Facebook sends us a data-deletion request, we remove the profile data tied to that login. If Facebook is your only sign-in method, we deactivate the SkillNest account and erase the name, email, phone, photo, and Facebook link we stored. If you also sign in with email, Google, or Apple, we remove the Facebook link and any photo that came from Facebook, and the rest of the account stays in place.

We may keep transaction records that the law requires for accounting, without your Facebook profile, email, or photo. We also keep a short confirmation record (a code, the date, and the outcome) so you can check that a deletion request was received.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@skillnest.com from the address on the account. If you signed in with Facebook, you can also remove SkillNest from your Facebook settings. Facebook then notifies us, and we delete the Facebook data described above.
